On 16 March 2008, The Sunday Times reported thus:
"An Anglican priest is in hospital after he was beaten up and insulted in what appears to be a ‘faith hate’ assault by Asian youths.
Canon Michael Ainsworth, 57, was kicked and punched in the head and left with deep cuts, bruising and two black eyes in the grounds of his historic church in east London after he asked three Asian youths there to be quiet. The attack at the 18th-century St George in the East Church in Stepney follows a number of apparently anti-Christian attacks in recent months in the same area.
Alan Green, area dean for Tower Hamlets, said:
‘It was a nasty cowardly attack… He was kicked and punched in the head as he lay on the ground, I believe that what was shouted was ‘you f***ing priest’ before they attacked him.’
Allan Ramanoop, a member of the parochial church council, said:
On one occasion, youths shouted:
‘This should not be a church, this should be a mosque, you should not be here. The youths are anti-Christian. It’s terrible what they have done to Canon Ainsworth. We’ve never had violence like that before’…
His wife Jan, who is also a priest as well as being the Church of England’s chief education officer said her husband was concerned publicity about the attack could fuel inter-faith tensions."
Jan Ainsworth said:
"There are mindless individuals in every community, quite often under the influence of drink or drugs, that engage in random acts of violence... We have had very strong messages of support from East London mosque and Tower Hamlets mosque."
Not the fault of the lovely, fluffy Muslims then.
It wasn't really them who savagely beat up her husband for no reason at all.
I entered this comment into The Sunday Times Have Your Say section:
"Ah, the joys of pluralism and diversity.
For 50 years now, the clergy have been pitying the poor immigrant as he ‘kicked and punched’ and ‘insulted’ the rest of us. Even as our churches were being turned into mosques and we were being ethnically cleansed out of our own ancient neighbourhoods, they were encouraging us to turn the other cheek. It never seemed to bother them that we didn't want to be enriched by a variety of alien hordes that were not the least bit like us.
So now the Muslims are beating up the senior churchmen who stood up for them against their own.
I'm afraid it looks like Canon Ainsworth, who is "concerned... the attack could fuel inter-faith tensions", is a cleric who thinks it right and proper to put the feelings of the foreigner before the health and safety of his parishioners. I'm sorry, ladies and gentlemen, but I just don't have much sympathy for the Holy Joes and Janes who are never prepared to criticise the elephant that they, along with the politicians, the PC Crowd and the media darlings, ushered into the room.
And, as it was people just like the Ainsworths who conned us into meekly accepting the ravages of brute multiculture in the first place, AND ARE STILL DOING SO, I say, FEEL OUR PAIN, YOU AINSWORTHS!
FEEL IT!
And, for goodness sake, try to understand this isn't just happening to you!
